The Masterpiece of Renaissance Engineering
Brunelleschi’s Dome is the architectural jewel of Florence, rising majestically above the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Designed by Filippo Brunelleschi in the 15th century, it remains one of the greatest engineering achievements of the Renaissance. With its double-shell structure and innovative construction technique, the dome dominates Florence’s skyline and stands as a symbol of the city’s artistic and scientific rebirth.
